Vietnamese Physician Association of Northern California

The Vietnamese Physician Association of Northern California (VPANC) is a established professional organization based in San Jose, CA, serving approximately 300 physician members across diverse medical specialties and practice backgrounds. Since its incorporation in 1989, VPANC has provided comprehensive membership benefits designed to support professional development and peer collaboration among Vietnamese American physicians throughout Northern California, from the Bay Area to Visalia, Yuba City, and Fresno.

VPANC members gain access to quarterly continuing medical education dinner meetings that keep physicians current with the latest clinical developments and best practices. The association facilitates ongoing professional networking opportunities through monthly e-Newsletters, e-announcements, and social gatherings that strengthen collegial relationships within the medical community. The organization maintains five active committees focused on education and community services, membership and public relations, scholarship programs, communication and publication, and advisory functions.

Beyond professional development, VPANC is deeply committed to community health initiatives in the San Jose region. The association hosts numerous health fairs, weekly radio and TV talk shows addressing health topics, and educational events for physicians and allied medical professionals. These culturally sensitive, Vietnamese-language programs focus on raising public awareness about common health issues, promoting early disease screening for cancer and other conditions, and providing accessible health information to the Vietnamese American community. Additionally, VPANC administers an annual scholarship award program for high school students, supporting the development of future community leaders.
