About Vietnamese American Youth Alliance

The Vietnamese American Youth Alliance (V.A.Y.A) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Vietnamese American youth through comprehensive leadership development and community engagement programs in San Diego, CA. Since its founding in 2004, VAYA has established itself as a vital resource for young professionals and students seeking to build meaningful connections while developing their skills in organizational management, social activism, and community development.

VAYA's programming focuses on four core areas: promoting youth leadership through annual conferences and retreats that educate participants on organizational management and community development issues; fostering cultural awareness and preservation of Vietnamese American heritage, language, and history; advancing social activism and justice initiatives that empower youth to address community challenges; and facilitating community development projects that create lasting positive change. The organization brings together students from different colleges and high schools across San Diego to build unity and solidarity among Vietnamese American youth.
